WOLVES MATCHWORN SHIRTS
The 1985-86 season began with Wolves sponsorless after the agreement with Tatung ended. For the final 3 months, a local Builders Merchants paid a five-figure sum and a sew-on patch was added to the front of the shirts, Benjamin Perry becoming the club’s second shirt sponsor.
Soon as the season ended the patches were carefully removed so the shirts could be used in training. This shirt clearly shows (close up) where the stitching has been removed.
The final picture shows a shirt with the patch in place.
